YIPPEE Exchange does more.
In 2018, Young Entrepreneur Institute (YEI) and Burton D. Morgan Foundation launched a mini-grant program to provide entrepreneurship education resources for educators in Northeast Ohio. The program was designed to encourage experimentation with entrepreneurship education products and expose teachers and classrooms to many different approaches to skill-building.
Over the next few years, the program awarded 350 grants impacting more than 11,000 students. The next question became, “How can we do more?” The answer was clear -- develop a platform that would allow educators to share their experiences with one another; drive demand for high quality, impactful products; and be the gatekeepers for educational innovation.
Morgan Foundation envisioned a program that would involve educators and sponsors from regions beyond Northeast Ohio. To scale the program, a digital platform with a marketplace infrastructure was essential. Working with WonderKiln as the technology development partner, Morgan Foundation and YEI built YIPPEE Exchange to bring free entrepreneurship education products to the masses.
With YIPPEE Exchange’s launch, we look forward to serving educators, sponsors, product providers and, most importantly, students, for years to come.
