How do I purchase a product on YIPPEE?


Educators are able to purchase products on YIPPEE by first registering for an account. Then, you’re on your way to start earning points, which are needed to purchase products on the YIPPEE marketplace. Earn points by attending YEI professional development activities (i.e., Power Hour, Enspire), writing a product review, rating a product, and perhaps finding hidden points on the website. Once you have enough points in your wallet, you can start shopping. There are plenty of products that do not require any points, so look around and find what works for you.

What kind of products are available on YIPPEE?


All products on YIPPEE will

YIPPEE carefully vets the products that are available on the site. We carry only products that assist with entrepreneurship education and that build

entrepreneurship skills.

We’re always looking to add to our product offering. Our product categories include: educator training; planning and consulting; curriculum; speakers; supplies; and field trips.

How are products chosen for sale on YIPPEE?


The best way to get a product on YIPPEE is to contact us at info@yippee.exchange or (216) 710-3927 to discuss if the product is a good fit for YIPPEE. Alternatively, providers can directly submit their product to the YIPPEE team by following the “provider path” at registration, but we do not recommend this path. The YIPPEE team needs to have a complete understanding of your product and this is best accomplished through a meeting.

Products on YIPPEE must include a value-added benefit not found in other places. We often collaborate with Providers to create a unique product for YIPPEE during our planning. Products must build at least one of the YIPPEE entrepreneurial skills and be available to a classroom of 30 students. Job readiness training products are not included on YIPPEE unless it is specifically about preparation for entrepreneurial careers. Once vetted and approved by a team from YIPPEE, YIPPEE will open a new storefront or add a new product to an existing storefront for purchase by our educators.

YIPPEE is a true marketplace. There might be multiple products that are similar. This is intentional as we want to allow the market to decide which products get more purchases, likes, and reviews.

I see that YIPPEE products usually target 30 kids but I have fewer/more kids. Will this product still work for me?


Our product selection ensures that larger classrooms are not excluded from entrepreneurship education. All products can be used with 30 or fewer students. However, if you have any questions about whether a product can be implemented in your classroom, reach out to us at info@yippee.exchange, and we can answer your specific questions.

Can these products be used during non-traditional teaching times?


Yes, all products can be used in all different types of learning environments. They can be used in out-of-school time including afterschool programs, camps, and weekends. Most products can be adapted to be used in virtual settings. If you have a question on whether the product will work for you, please reach out to us at info@yippee.exchange and we can get a conversation started.

I don’t see products available to me in my geographic location?


Some products, such as in-person classroom speakers, are only available in Northeast Ohio. As YIPPEE continues to evolve and its sponsoring partners expand, we hope to roll out additional opportunities and products to classrooms across the United States.

Can I suggest a product?


Yes! We’d love to hear your suggestions. Reach out to us with your product ideas at info@yippee.exchange.

Can I purchase the same product multiple times in a year?


Yep, you can purchase the same product multiple times in a year. As long as you have earned the points, you can purchase the product.

What happens when I purchase a product?


Points, the currency used to purchase products, will be deducted from your account. The provider will then contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time to schedule the implementation of your product. Once completed, all you need to do is rate or review the product to earn more points towards future products. Your rating and reviewing not only helps other educators learn about the product, but it also serves as an indication to YIPPEE to release funds so that the product provider can get paid.

How do I earn points?


There are multiple ways to earn points. Points are awarded for registering a YIPPEE account and attending YEI professional development programs. Points can be earned by writing a product review, leaving a star rating, or uploading a photo of the product in use. Also, the more you interact with YIPPEE, the more points you earn. You may even encounter some “surprise” points by doing so!

How do I find my wallet?


Your wallet is located in the top navigation bar. It is the circle with the “Y” and says “Points."

How do I spend points?


Shopping and buying is easy. Just go to the product and hit "buy."

How many points can I earn?


You can earn an unlimited amount of points each year, but only 200 points will be rolled over to the next year.

Do points expire?


Yes. Points expire one year from the date the points were awarded.

Is there a limit on what I can spend in YIPPEE?


Yes, currently, we have set a limit of using 750 points per year. This will allow our educators to receive multiple products and ensure there is enough to go around. Remember that while educators earn points, our providers are paid with dollars and these dollars are in a 1-to-1 ratio to points. We will be evaluating this to balance our demand for products and funding, so be sure to check back often if you want more products.

How do I connect with other educators?


There are a couple of ways for you to connect with other educators. Educators will have access to see other educator’s profiles, which includes their email address and basic information about where and what they teach. You can also find an educator through the product review and rating system. So, if you have a question about what they said about a product, you can click on their name to get their contact information. YIPPEE is also on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, so you can connect with educators (and us!) on those platforms. Soon, you will also be able to connect and interact directly with your peers.

How are classrooms sponsored?


We work closely with foundations and individual donors who are committed to entrepreneurship education. Sponsorship dollars are allocated based on funder priorities and educator choice, and go directly to providers in a 1-to-1 ratio with the points educators used to purchase the products. I know, pretty cool, right?!

How do I refer a friend to YIPPEE?


There are multiple ways to get your fellow teacher friends involved with YIPPEE. First, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and tag your friends.

How can I change my profile photo?


All you need to do is login to your account. Click on the circle photo in the navigation bar on the top right side, then click on profile. You will see “edit” near your picture. Soon, you will be able to edit all your profile information here. If you have any issues, contact us at info@yippee.exchange.

I have a great new product that I would like to sell on YIPPEE. How do I go about opening a storefront?


This is great news! First, you’ll need to register on YIPPEE as a product provider. You’ll then be prompted to answer some questions about your product and whether it teaches the YIPPEE

entrepreneurial skill sets.

The YIPPEE product review team will take a look to see if your product is a fit for our marketplace, and if it is, YIPPEE will notify you that your storefront and your product are open for business.

How do I get paid once a product is implemented?


After the product has been implemented in the classroom, all you need to do is to go to your home page and switch the button from “In Progress” to “Fulfilled.” A pop up form will appear asking you a couple quick questions like the date that you worked with the educator as well as the total number of students. Complete this form and hit submit. Then, once the educator has marked that they too have received the product, YIPPEE will send out payment. I know what you are thinking, what if the educator does not do this...It is easy for the educator to let us know that they received the product. A simple review, rating, or uploading of a photo will indicate that the product was received. And YIPPEE will send three reminders prompting the educator to let us know about their experience with the product. If we still do not hear from the educator, the YIPPEE administrator will be able to override this requirement to ensure you get paid. YIPPEE will send out payments on a regular basis.
