Description

If your student's business involves a brilliant new app idea, this course will give them everything they need! They'll learn to build and publish their very own apps completely for free - all they'll need is an email. They'll also be able to confidently put "beginner-level app developer" on their resumes!

Apps are powerful. Students can use them as:

- Unique marketing channels that stand out over competitors (like an e-commerce store in an app)

- Sales tools that add extra value to clients (like a specialized task management app)

- Even as the product they're selling to customers! (like a new online platform or marketplace)

To do anything with apps in the past, you needed to know how to code, and you needed to be good at it. That technical skill set is hard to develop, and the curriculum is hard to find - especially in high school. Luckily, there are now "no-code" tools (like the one taught in this course) that allow anyone, regardless of their ability to program or code, to build fully functioning apps quickly and easily!

This course contains 12 easy-to-follow videos (~2.5 hours in total) and requires no prior knowledge or understanding of programming. The tools your students will use are all no-code, drag-and-drop, and can be accessed from any computer.

The online course can be done over a series of class periods, or sent directly to students as homework / supplementary material. All students with a computer or mobile device will be able to access it with a link. One of the last videos in the course contains an optional assignment to help reinforce what students have learned.

Students will learn how to build web apps, mobile apps, and more complex app ideas like platforms and marketplaces.

Web apps, once published, will be accessible via website addresses. Mobile apps can be downloaded on mobile devices.
